Looking Back
As this year draws to a close, I find myself sitting with gratitude, reflection, and a deep sense of pride in how far Forever Unbroken has come—not just as a platform, but as a community of survivors, supporters, and truth-tellers. This year has been layered. It has held moments of public visibility, private healing, justice frustrations, creative expansion, and well-earned rest. And through it all, Forever Unbroken has remained exactly what it was created to be: a space where survival is honoured, voices are believed, and strength is reclaimed.
One of the most significant moments this year was being featured on A Current Affair. Sharing my story so publicly was not easy, but it was necessary. It mattered—not just for me, but for every survivor who has ever felt silenced or dismissed. That feature sparked conversations that needed to happen and reminded me that telling the truth is still one of the most powerful forms of resistance.
At the same time, this year also carried the weight of injustice. Watching my rapist walk free from prison was a brutal reminder of how flawed our systems remain. It was a moment that tested my resilience in ways I didn’t expect—but it also reinforced why Forever Unbroken exists. We tell the stories others want buried. We speak when silence is more convenient. We survive when the system fails us.
Amid the heaviness, there was also joy and restoration. Spending a couple of months travelling through Europe offered something deeply needed—space. Space to breathe, to reconnect with myself beyond survival, and to remember that healing can coexist with happiness. That time away was not an escape; it was an act of self-preservation and growth.
Creatively, this year marked another milestone with The Original Collection bracelet launch. Each piece was designed with intention—symbols of resilience, reclaiming power, and beauty forged through adversity. Seeing the jewellery embraced by this community has been incredibly moving. It’s more than adornment; it’s a reminder that we carry our strength with us.
Throughout the year, Forever Unbroken shared 12 blog posts—one for each month—each reflecting different facets of survival, healing, justice, identity, and hope. These posts weren’t just content; they were conversations. They were moments of recognition where so many of you reached out to say, “This is my story too.”
That connection is everything.
To every person who follows, reads, shares, comments, or quietly finds comfort here—thank you. To those who have trusted Forever Unbroken with their stories, your vulnerability is never taken lightly. To the advocates, creatives, supporters, and fellow survivors who make up this community: you are the heart of this space. Forever Unbroken is not just about what we’ve endured—it’s about what we continue to build. This year reminded me that even in the face of injustice, exhaustion, and grief, we are still capable of creating beauty, demanding accountability, and choosing ourselves.
As we step into a new year, I carry deep gratitude for every step walked together. We are still here. Still speaking. Still unbroken.
